With the wide variety of restaurants and cafes available in Dubrovnik, finding a perfect dining place can be very convenient during your stay. You may find the most appealing restaurants in the Old Town area, serving local seafood and a variety of meat dishes. Although most of the cuisines from these restaurants may not be too different from meals served in other places in Croatia, you can be sure that the food is of good quality and served fresh on your table.

If you want to have an Italian dish for a change, you may want to try a few wood-fired pizzerias. The local chocolate treats known as Kras chocolate are sold at retail stores. You can always find sumptuous meals and delicacies in Dubrovnik but you should also be aware of the high prices within this part of Croatia.

When it comes to looking for drinking places in Dubrovnik, you would never be disappointed with the availability of numerous bars and cafes in the location. You may encounter the most popular hard drink in Dubrovnik known as rakija. Rakija is a strongly distilled alcoholic drink made from the mixture of several fruits. Some of the well-known ingredients used for making rakija are plums, grapes and walnuts. Like all hard liquors, the taste may not be very appealing for first time drinkers but those who can appreciate its exquisite flavor may find this alcoholic drink enjoyable to share with friends.

Most cafes in Dubrovnik serve local drinks such as Konavle and Peljesac Peninsula all day. Although the expensive ambiance of the cafes may be hard on your budget, you may find these drinks to be very affordable.
